The OFS 300 is a versatile instrument for the inspection of optical fiber connectors. By employing universal adapter cap mount, it can inspect virtually any connector style for scratches, dirt, or other problems normally associated with poor transmission performance. The OFS 300 offers 60 hours of continuous battery life. A 2.5mm universal adapter cap, holster, and user’s guide are included with OFS 300 scopes. The OFS 300-200C  uses the same common threaded connector adapter caps as the Noyes Optical Power Meters and Loss Test Sets.

Designed for field use, with lab quality optics, the OFS300 inspection scope delivers a high quality end-face image at 200x magnification. Quickly identify scratches, dirt or other problems normally associated with poor network performance.
Fact:
A large percentage of network failures are caused by dirty or damaged end-faces on fiber optic connectors. Inspecting jumper end-faces prior to connection is critical to network performance. The OFS300 scope provides a quality optical inspection tool at an affordable price.

Cleaning the Lenses
Use lint-free optical cleaning wipes such as AFL FiberWipes and optical quality cleaning fluid such as AFL FCC2
connector cleaning fluid.
Note:
if using isopropyl alcohol (IPA), be sure to use 99% pure IPA that has not been contaminated.
• Dampen a portion of the wipe with the cleaning fluid.
• Gently wipe lens starting with the wet section of the wipe and pulling it to the dry section.
Note:
Vigorous rubbing or the use of a semi-abrasive cloth may impair the efficiency of the instrument.
Note:
The eyepiece is not to be unscrewed and taken apart.
The only maintenance to be done is to the outer lens.
