Features:
These hangers are delivered without oil or dirt on them, no more smudges or dirty fingerprint clean up required!
•
These hangers have a clip slides over back of gutter, notching or tucking of drip edge may be necessary in retro fits where the back wall of the gutter sits high under drip edge
•
A no clip version of this hanger is also available
•
These hangers install fast with a 1/4 inch hex head screw that is preinserted in the built in screw holder that holds the screw in place during instalation
?
Benefits:
•
These hidden hangers are complelety invisble from below the eave, no fastener head can be seen on the outside of the gutter.
• ?????
The screws stay tight and will not allow the gutter to separate from the fascia board like spikes do as wood ages over time
•
These hangers strengthen and reenforce the shape the gutter
??
Mounting:
At least 3/4" of non dried out wood to screw into that is parallel to the building face is required
•
When fully screwed down the screw will pentrate about 1-3/8" from the back of the hanger
•
The included screw easily penetrates Aluminum or Steel Pole Barn Fascia trim, if your fascia board is less than 1-1/2" try to screw into rafter tail locations
•
The manufacuturer recomends a Minimum of 24 inch spacing in heavy snow/ice/rain load regions
?
Optional Mounting methods for Eaves that don’t have a traditonal fascia board:
•
If your fascia is angled(or your eave has only exposed angled rafter tails) you can use gutter wedges(sold seperatley) to make the back wall of the gutter vertical.
•
If your building does not have a fascia board these hangers will accept a strap(sold seperatly) that can be attached to the top of the roof
??
Tools needed to install:
• A Power drill/driver with a 1/4" Hex head bit
• Tape Measure
• Tin Snips(only if modifying drip edge)
• String line and Level(only if setting or resetting the pitch of the gutter)
??
Installation tips:
• I
f retrofitting a gutter with loosend spikes, space hangers no more than 24" apart, do not attempt to use existing spike holes
• Install the gutter in a postion or use a trim strip so that water can not get between the back of the gutter and the fascia board
• Pitch your gutter just enough so that water drains to the downspout outlet and does not pool, 1/2" per 10 feet is standard
• For gutter runs longer than 40 feet, it's best to pitch the gutter down from the middle to a downspout at each end
• Aluminum products expand and contract with tempurature, the ideal installation tempurature is 60 to 85°F or 15-30°C.
• Use a quality sealant at all seams and joints that can flex with tempurature changes
